Hi, I'm Shanta! I’m here to help you with whatever goals you want to achieve. Asking for help is normally the first and hardest step. However, you should be proud that you've decided something needs to change. Everyone has areas in which they would like to improve, so please understand you’re not alone. We will walk through this journey together.
During my career, I have worked in hospitals, group homes, foster care, and other mental health settings. I enjoy working with individuals, couples, and teenagers who are experiencing issues with self-esteem, anxiety, depression, and insomnia to name a few. I’m compassionate and enjoy helping others. My goal is to help you change the behaviors you find undesirable and support you through the process. Afterall, to see change, you must practice and be that change.
Some fun facts about me: I love to sing and do karaoke. I enjoy spending time with my family playing board games, going to the movies, or bowling. I also enjoy binge-watching Netflix whenever I have the time.
I look forward to helping you make changes in your life whether its in your relationships, career or within yourself. I know unpleasureable habits are hard to break, but we can break them together.

"I believe one of the bravest things you can do is begin to understand your own story."
I took that step to share my experiences and I conquered my greatest fears. Being able to trust is a big step, but accomplishing fears and standing in success is a leap. How would you like to take that journey with me to rebuild, uplift, get over, move through, start over, and reach for your internal goals to be a better "YOU"? Take a chance to believe in yourself that things will get and be better. I'm open, reachable, optimistic, kindhearted and ready to help towards your journey of healing. Here's where to start….
One of the hardest things in life is letting go. We all have faced guilt, love, loss, anger, or betrayal. Change is never easy. Life is too short to be miserable, hold grudges or have regrets. My goal is for you to be free of emotional pain, able to deal with life on life's terms, and to find purpose in your work, family, friends and spirituality.
Over 12 yrs as a clinician, therapist and a substance abuse counselor, I have helped individuals, children, couples, and families individually and in a group setting find healing, forgiveness, and understanding in their distressed situations. In addition, I have trained other clinicians and provided groups to clinicians that are on the same journey.
